Naeem Raja

 Director

Naeem Raja is a dedicated community leader and political activist based in Houston, Texas, with over two decades of experience in local politics and social initiatives. A graduate of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, Naeem was actively involved in student government, serving as a student senator and engaging in student politics throughout his time at FAU. His leadership journey began in high school, where he first became interested in public service.

Professionally, Naeem worked for IBM and Hewlett-Packard, gaining valuable experience in the tech industry before transitioning to grassroots political and community work. For the past 23 years, he has been a resident of Houston, where he has become deeply involved in local affairs.

Naeem served as precinct chair for the Democratic Party for two terms, demonstrating his leadership and commitment to political engagement. Additionally, he served on the Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH) Zonal Council and contributed to various committees focused on community development and social initiatives.

Throughout his career, Naeem has been a passionate advocate for social causes, working to support local candidates, organize volunteer drives, and raise awareness about important political and humanitarian issues. His work extends beyond politics, as he has played a significant role in supporting several community-driven initiatives, particularly those aimed at uplifting marginalized groups.

With his experience in both the public and private sectors, Naeem Raja remains a tireless advocate for positive change, leveraging his leadership and organizational skills to help create a stronger, more engaged community.

 

Muhammad Afzal Abbasi

Director

He has experience servicing the Pakistani and Muslim Houston community for over 35 years. He has worked tirelessly on campaigns for U.S. Congress and local governments and the Texas Supreme Court. He has served the community through his roles as the elected Chairman of the Cultural and Religious Committee of the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston, General Secretary of Tehreek-i-Insaaf (Houston), and as an elected member of the Islamic Society of Greater Houston. 

Muhammad Ali

Director

Member Advisory Panel San Jacinto Community College Pharmacy Tech Program. He was the Vice President of International Student Organization. He was elected Precinct Chair HCDP, he is a member Finance committee SD6 HCDP.

Dr. Humayun Mirza

 Director

Dr. Humayun Mirza served as the Chief of Cardiology at Spring Branch Medical Center. Hymayyun Mirza has received several academic awards including the Young Investigator Award, the American College of Cardiology Presidential Affiliate Award and has several publications in peer reviewed journals and has contributed a book chapter to a pharmacology textbook as well. Aside from 4 nominations for the Physician of the Year, he is the recipient of several Community Service Awards as well.
He has been a Houstonian since 2003 and has been passionately involved in supporting organizational charity, volunteer work, as well as educational and mass information efforts.”
